Ride on Toys - A Favorite of All Kids

We all loved our ride on toys in our days. Though today, children have more options to pick from, there is no doubt they too will relish a ride on toy! These toys have grown in leaps and bounds, with high-tech features we could not imagine in our days. Consequently, the attraction, fun and of course the prices too has bounced.
Christmas is just round the corner and you must be wondering what you will gift your little one. Why don't you try a ride on toy for this Christmas? These toys are battery operated which ranges from 6 Volts to 24 Volts. Cars, mini ATVs, mini quads, motorcycles and tractors line up for you to take your pick. The battery chargers provided with them will give your child never ending riding time!

There are ride on cars of real power! They come with a passenger room and are capable to carry a weight of 130 pounds. It will be amazing to watch your child share his car with a sibling or friend, which will teach him the first lessons of sharing and co-operating.

The toddler size cars come with remote control option, which enables a parent to ensure the child enjoys a safe ride. The slower models of these cars go at 2.5 mph, but can reach to 5 mph. These toys really teaches little ones steering controls and back ups. The small cars and ride on toys operated on 6 Volt battery is just the thing for indoors, sidewalks and patios. They are not so good on grass or hills, however!
Ride on toys that really go up to the 10 year age bracket is powerful with 12 Volt to 24 Volt Batteries. They include the ATV models, tractors and Jeeps. Some models have trailers to fit them. Gift your little one a ride on toy of his age and watch the glow on his face; it will be worth it!

Hot Toys For Christmas

Every year dozens of parents and families swarm shopping malls across the nation, while others go the online shopping route, in order to locate the hottest, coolest gift of the season. As technology improves, it seems that tried and true toys are slowly being replaced by video games, computers and handheld devices. Some toys, however, seem to transcend the generation gap. Classic toys have been cool for generations - and some are experiencing a renaissance as a result of movies like Toy Story 3, which seem to remind viewers of an era of simpler toys. So what kinds classic toys can you expect to be hot this year?

1) Legos

With the seemingly endless parade of Lego video game hitting the market, including the long awaited Lego Universe, you can expect to see a lot of tie in products, including Lego Minotaurs and Lego Hogwarts Castle. These new Lego sets might be just the thing to pry your child away from the computer/video game console and get those creative juices flowing. Even kids who aren't that into video games, of course, love Lego. These plastic building blocks have been around since the 1940s, and today come in a surprising array of styles, including kits to match any of your child's interests.

2) Big Wheels and Pedal Cars

Pedal cars are cruising back onto the scene in a big way. Today's parents undoubtedly remember cruising the sidewalks as a child in their own pedal toy. Some of the very same designs can still be found today. This ride-on toy seems to be a staple of the American holiday experience, with countless children finding one under the Christmas tree each year. Most are designed to replicate the look of real vehicles, while others provide a completely imaginative and unique style.

3) Hot Wheels

Hot Wheels, not to be confused with Big Wheels, are those metal cars that kids can zoom across the floor. While the small version first hit the market in 1968, today the line has expanded into larger versions and even RC cars. A new line of remote control vehicles, the Hot Wheels Stealth Rides RC cars, allows kids to control different vehicles including the Batmobile and a rather cool looking tank, chasing after siblings, household pets and neighbors.

4) Disney Dolls

Disney seems to be one company that is far from relinquishing its share of the toy market. Targeting kids of all ages - including those who remember the Disney princesses from movies watched in their youth - the most popular Disney dolls continue to be those from classic children's movies, such as Snow White and Cinderella. Of course, there are also versions created for modern kids' movies, such as The Princess and Me and Disney-Pixar's Toy Story 3.

Clearly, there are plenty of choices out there for parents who want to get their kids away from the computer or TV screen. Whether you'd like to instill creativity in your child, or want them to get plenty of exercise outdoors this Spring, choose their toys wisely. Luckily, you have plenty of classics to choose from this holiday season!
